ECO FRIENDLY DELIVERY
We encourage our customers to ReUse + ReLove their packaging
"A box or paper and a piece of string - I promise I'm a useful thing"
So, you have just made a mindful purchase from UNWRAPPED THE STORE - It’s safe to say that you have just made Mother Nature smile, YAY to you!
You can rest assured that we deliver your products in an eco friendly manner. We take steps to ensure we reduce our impact on the environment when sending your parcel.
Here’s a little about the steps we take...
WE ARE HAPPY WITH OUR CARBON NEUTRAL DELIVERY SERVICE
Sendle is Australia’s first carbon neutral delivery service that thinks its important to keep our planet and environment healthy. Sendle has partnered with South Pole Group to offset the emissions of every parcel that is picked up and delivered with Sendle. We think that is fab!
Whenever we can we recycle the boxes that we receive from distrubuters and reuse them for our customers shipments. We don’t always have the right fitting box so we also have cardboard boxes made from recycled materials on hand
BROWN PAPER WRAPPING
We use simple brown paper for pick up's and certain small non breakable orders.
HEMP + JUTE
We like to tie our parcels up with a little bow (just because we think it looks cute). We use the biodegradable natural fibres of Hemp cord or Jute.
Most sticky tape ends up in the bin and then sits in landfill for decades. At unwrapped we use an environmentally friendly tape that is manufactured from transparent cellulose film, which is a wood based product of regenerated wood pulp. This means that it is biodegradable and this makes us very happy!
No bubble wrap or toxic foam beans in our boxes. We use recycled newspapers to pack our boxes. We collect the old newspapers from my local library every week.
A WASTE FREE THANK YOU
We were very tempted when we started this business to include thank you notes with every purchase. We decided that the extra paper and printing would not put a smile on Mother Natures face. We include our little gratitude notes on the packaging itself - it will be hidden somewhere on the box or paper. We believe that gratitude is an important practice and think our customers deserve a little thank you.
